Step Four: Check In At The Expo (Friday, January 23, 2026, 4:00 - 7:00 PM)

All volunteers, or a friend, representative, or group leader for all volunteers, need to check in at the Expo on Friday, any time between 4:00 and 7:00 PM.

The Expo is in Grand Hall 8 of the Classic Center (300 North Thomas Street, Athens) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23. Find the Volunteers Check-In table.

• If you are an individual volunteer, check in at the Expo or have a friend check in for you.

• If you are part of a group (such as a high school club or a local business who volunteered as a group), your group leader will probably check in for the entire group. Ask your group leader about whether you need to go to the Expo or not.

• When you check in at the Expo on Friday, we will make sure you have all the information and instructions you need for your shift. You should leave the Expo knowing exactly where to go, when to be there, and what to do.

• Adult volunteers will receive one drink ticket at check-in that will be good for one drink at Creature Comforts during our Saturday evening After Party (January 24, 4:00 - 7:00 PM).

• Some volunteers will also receive a bright orange Volunteer knit hat or a bright Volunteer shirt when you check in.

  • In the interest of sustainability, if you have volunteered with us before and already have a bright yellow-green Volunteer shirt, please wear it again this year.

If you cannot check in at the Expo and do not know any other person who could check in for you, let Lisa know ahead of time (706 564-4026).
